COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

We are committed to providing a high quality service to all our guests. When something goes wrong we would like to hear from you; this will help us improve our standards. If you have any concerns about the service you have received, please refer to the E&H Complaints Procedure [PDF 69KB] which gives details of how to formalise your concerns.

Parking at QMUL

Parking is extremely limited on campus and you are therefore advised to take public transport to the College. Parking is available at weekends and evenings. Details of public parking in the vicinity can be found at: www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/lgnl/transport_and_streets/parking.aspx

WIFI ACCESS ON CAMPUS

Many areas are covered by WiFi, however a login is required. For residential guests this can be arranged via Reception in the Westfield Village and for non residential guests and organisers please contact our team. Please note 24 hours notice is required.

POST AT QMUL

A post box is located on campus outside the Joseph Priestley building (no. 41 on our campus map).

We regret that QMUL is unable to accept any postal deliveries for guests staying in our accommodation.

DISABLED ACCESS

QMUL buildings are compliant under the Equalities Act. Should you have guests with specific requirements please let the Sales team know so they can ensure the facilities are suitable / advise you of specific details.

LOCAL AREA INFORMATION

If staying on the Mile End campus, local tourist information can be found at Reception in France House. Additional local information can be found at: www.visiteastlondon.com.

SPORTS FACILITIES

Qmotion is a fitness centre on campus located on our Mile End campus. Details can be found at: www.qmsu.org/qmotion

EATING AT QMUL

Mile End & Whitechapel: There are a number of cafés and catering outlets on the Mile End campus and a cafe on the Whitechapel campus. Visit www.catering.qmul.ac.uk for more information.

Charterhouse Square & West Smithfield: There are a number of local cafés and restaurants in the surrounding areas of both campuses.

CORKAGE CHARGE

You are more than welcome to bring your own wine, champagne, spirits and beer with you to your event, we just require a corkage charge of £10 per bottle for wine, £15 per bottle for champagne/spirit and £10 per case of 24 beers. We do have an extensive wine list available via our in house Catering & Hospitality Service, please refer to our Price List [PDF 1,243KB] for more details.

VISITING THE QUEEN ELIZABETH PARK

There are guided walks organised by Blue Badge guides. Alternatively you can follow the Regents canal from the College to the Olympic park (details via Reception or the Sales team). Details of guided walks at: www.tourguides2012.co.uk/tours.php

EMERGENCY MEDICAL AND DENTAL FACILITIES

In an emergency please dial extension 3333 and QMUL Security will either call a first aid officer or an ambulance as appropriate.

EVENT DELIVERIES PRIOR TO EVENT DATE

We are able to accept deliveries for events prior to the event date, please contact your event coordinator who will confirm the address to send items to.

CHECKING-IN AND CHECKING-OUT

Check in time is 2.00pm and check out is 10.00am.  You can check-in at Reception located in France House, Westfield Village, Mile End Campus.

PROVISIONS IN BEDROOMS

There is a data projector in all rooms and all lecture theatres have lectern microphones.

VENUE/ROOM ACCESS FOR ORGANISERS

You will have access to the venue 30 minutes before your booking for set up. Should you need extra time please speak to your event coordinator.
